Water Care GuideUpdated a year ago
For an in depth guide on watercare, please see the attached simplified guide below.
The important thing to remember with watercare is that chemicals are not fast acting. If your test strips revealed that something needed to be added to bring a level back into the OK Range, do not retest the water again for 24 hours before checking if what you added made the desired correction. If not, add the new amount as shown in the tables beginning on page 22 and retest again in 24 hours.
FAILURE TO WAIT 24 HOURS BEFORE RETESTING AND ADDING ADDITIONAL CHEMICALS WILL RESULT IN LEVELS BEING WELL OFF THE CHART ONCE CHEMICALS TAKE EFFECT. THE ONLY WAY TO GET LEVELS BACK IN LINE WILL BE TO DRAIN AT LEAST HALF OF THE SPA WATER AND REFILL.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR PORTABLE SPA RANGE IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH EITHER CHLORINE OR BROMINE. SILVER PRODUCTS DO NOT PLAY WELL WITH OUR CONTROL UNITS AND MAY DAMAGE BOTH THE SPA SHELL AND THE CONTROL UNIT. ANY DAMAGE TO THE SPA OR ANY OF ITS COMPONENTS CAUSED BY USE OF ANY SANITISER OTHER THAN CHLORINE OR BROMINE WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
If switching from chlorine to bromine or vice versa, the spa must first be completely drained, flushed and refilled before changing to the new sanitiser. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE SPA OR INJURY TO PERSONS AS BROMINE AND CHLORINE ARE HIGHLY REACTIVE WITH ONE ANOTHER.
You can purchase a chlorine chemical starter kit here
or bromine starter kits here
The Portable Spa range is NOT compatible nor tested for use with Silver products. Simple Silver's website also states that you should not use the product with our spas.
